160 FAMILIES RECEIVE FOOD AID FROM LOCAL VOLUNTEERS

PAPAR: A group of local volunteers have contributed food aid via the "We Care, Kita Sayang" programme to a total of 160 families of Kampung Mondikot here who are affected by the conditional movement control order (CMCO).


One of the volunteers, Lincoln Martin Idang said said the contribution was aimed to help lessen the burden of the villagers who are financially impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.


"We hope this contribution could help lessen the burden of and bring joy to the recipients.


“We will continue welfare activities such as this to help more of those in need," he said in a statement here, today.

Lincoln also urged those who are capable, such as non-governmental organisations and corporate companies, to do their part in their corporate social responsibility (CSR).


The volunteers comprised businessmen, entrepreneurs and local contractors together with the Malaysian Red Crescent presented the aid Mondikot Deer Camp here, recently.


The group was led by Datuk Yeo Hock Ching. Also present was Chairman of the Malaysian Red Crescent Datuk Asnan Yunus Chung.
