30 VILLAGES IN KIULU RECEIVE FOOD BASKET

TUARAN: Needy families from 30 villages in Kiulu have received Covid-19 food basket aid from the state government.
Kiulu State Assemblyman Datuk Joniston Bangkuai said the first phase distribution of food baskets have started on Tuesday.
Under the first phase, a total of 360 food baskets were distributed at the distribution centres in Rangalau Baru, Malangang Lama, Pekan Kiulu and Pukak.
According to Bangkuai who is also the Tourism, Culture and Environment Assistant Minister, a total of 1,000 food baskets have been allocated for Kiulu residents in need.

"Therefore, we have to ensure that the assistance reaches the targeted group," said Bangkuai when handing over the food baskets to the recipients' representative.
At the same time, he urged the people to cooperate and strictly comply with the Standard Operations Procedure (SOP) to help curb the spread of the deadly virus.
"Kiulu has remained a green zone since the outbreak of the pandemic and we must ensure it stays that way until Covid-19 is contained," he said.
Also present was Tamparuli Assistant District Officer Herman Tuggiging.
