51,332 TOTAL COVID-19 CASES IN SABAH AS OF FEB 14

KOTA KINABALU: The cumulative total of Covid-19 cases in Sabah since the pandemic has today reached 51,332, including 116 new cases reported today.
In a statement, Sabah Covid-19 spokesperson, Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said active cases in the state now stands at 1,045.
"Today, a total of 220 patients have recovered and were discharged, bringing the tally of state recoveries to 49,638.
"Of the total of active cases, 411 are currently treated in the hospitals, 631 at the Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centres, and three at the temporary detention centres or prison," he said.
According to Masidi, the number of patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is 63 and 21 of them are ventilated.
For the total of new cases, 90 cases stemmed from close contact screening while 13 cases from symptomatic individuals screening, three from new and existing clusters, and 10 from other categories.
Kota Kinabalu recorded the highest number of cases today with19, followed by Tawau (17), Keninigau (14), Kota Marudu (12), Papar (11), Penampang (nine), Sandakan (six), Semporna (five), Kota Belud (four), Lahad Datu (three), Kudat (three), Pitas (three), Telupid (two), Ranau (two) and Tenom (two).
Putatan, Kunak, Tuaran and Nabawan each have one new case, while no new cases were recorded in Tambunan, Beluran, Kalabakan, Kinabatangan, Sipitang, Kuala Penyu, Tongod, and Beaufort.
However, Sabah registered one Covid-19 fatality in Kota Kinabalu and one new cluster in Keningau today.
