KOTA KINABALU: Sixty per cent of the Sabah population would be fully vaccinated in less than two months, by Sept 21, should a sufficient number of vaccine supplies could be guaranteed.

Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun in his press statement today said the State Health Department would be able to provide up to 60,000 doses per day provided as long as there are enough supplies.

This also means that there is no disruption in the delivery schedule of the supplies for Sabah.

“If sufficient vaccine supplies could be guaranteed, the State Health Department could maintain its momentum and speed up the vaccination drive.

“This means that by Sept 21, 60 per cent of Sabahan will be fully vaccinated,” he stated.

According to Masidi, as of yesterday (Aug 4), a total of 1,383,193 Sabah population has received their vaccines with 967,555 of them receiving their first dose and 415,638 fully vaccinated.
