311 INDIVIDUALS HELD FOR VIOLATING RMCO

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 311 individuals were arrested by police yesterday for infringing the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said 306 of them were issued compounds while five were remanded.
“Among the offences were not wearing face mask (97), failure to observe physical distancing (75), failure to provide facility to record entry of customers (69), illegal travel to and from CMCO district/state (30), entertainment centre activities (26) and others (14),” he said in a statement on Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) today.
He said in Op Benteng yesterday, 14 illegal immigrants were nabbed while three boats and a vehicle were seized.
Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri said since July 24 till yesterday, 79,128 individuals have returned home via international gateways and they were placed at 78 hotels and 17 public training institutes and private education institutes nationwide.
“From the total, 11,270 individuals are undergoing mandatory quarantine and 502 were sent to the hospital for treatment while 67,356 individuals were allowed to go home,” he said, adding that all returnees were from 36 countries.
On COVID-19 Public Sanitisation Ops yesterday, he said 40 operations were conducted covering 11 red zones, four orange zones, nine yellow zones and four green zones in 12 states. - Bernama
