Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign in Kg Mahandoi

KOTA KINABALU: A Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign organised by the Breast Cancer Support Association was held at Kg Mahabdoi, yesterday.

The campaign aimed to educate and inform the public about breast cancer, its risk factors, symptoms, and the importance of early detection and treatment.

The campaign which was attended by members and guests also hoped to raise awareness about breast cancer, promote regular breast self-exams, and encourage women to undergo mammograms and other screening tests as recommended by medical professionals.

During the event, several activities were held including registration for mammogram, breast checkups, blood pressure and blood sugar checks.

There was also a HPV DNA screening service.

The event was launched by Datuk Ewon Benedick the Penampang Member of Parliament who is also the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Development.

He was represented by his wife Datin Connie Parantis.-ends
