Briefing and Dialogue on Treated Water Plant in Kg Lahanas

KOTA BELUD: The Treated Water Plant briefing and dialogue programme took place in Kampung Lahanas, bringing together various stakeholders, including the Community Development Leaders Unit (UPPM), represented by the Community Development Leader, Saikom Watis, officials from the Sabah State Water Department, representatives from Counslton Vista Prima, and local residents.


The primary goal of this programme was to inform the villagers about the development project for the treated water plant, which is anticipated to significantly improve the quality and accessibility of clean water in the area.


An official from the Sabah State Water Department provided an informative briefing, detailing the processes and current progress of the project, as well as its expected impact on the local community.


Following the briefing, a dialogue session was organised to give villagers a platform to voice their opinions, suggestions, and concerns regarding the project. Community leaders and officials listened attentively to each issue raised and committed to taking appropriate actions to ensure the project’s success and the well-being of residents.


In his opening remarks, Saikom emphasised that this project represents a crucial step in enhancing basic infrastructure in rural villages, promising long-term benefits for the entire community.


The programme concluded with a photography session and heartfelt expressions of gratitude to all participants, reinforced by a shared hope that the Treated Water Plant project will be successfully implemented, allowing all villagers to enjoy improved access to treated clean water.
