PUTATAN: The University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF), together with a group of university alumni, engaged in a charitable initiative at the Community Rehabilitation Organisation (PPDK) in the Putatan District, recently.

The charitable activities undertaken by the students, staff, and UCSF alumni included a community clean-up and mural painting.

The event was attended by over 20 individuals, with leadership from the Vice-Chancellor of UCSF, Dr. Rafiq Idris, Noorashiqin (Head of the Language Centre), Mazlinah Binamin (Head of Student Affairs), and Rozianah (Head of the Alumni Unit).

Representatives from the UCSF alumni community included Kalvin Johnathan Sapian, Marina Yusop, Saslinah Sudin, and Alyssia Anne Gabriel.

Dr. Rafiq said he was delighted with the participation of UCSF alumni in this community service activity, considering that all alumni involved in the programme are graduating next week.

"I am very proud of the dedication of our former students. I hope that programs like this will be expanded further and emulated by students who are just starting their studies," he said.

He added that this UCSF activity was held concurrently with the Malaysian Children Volunteer Mobilization Programme (SATRIA) and the Children Support Programme at the West Coast Division level.
