Church accorded funds for repair

KOTA KINABALU; The SIB Church in Kg Bundu Paka Kota Belud is in need of repair.

Spokesperson for the congregation there Madial Sabin, 64, shares that the church is quite old and its ceiling is deteriorating.

He said they needed to repair the ceiling and also rewire it for electricity as that too was aged.

"It is therefore a blessing for us to receive a donation of RM10k from the Kadamaian State Assemblyman Datuk Ewon Benedict who is also the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative."

"He visited us a while ago and noticed the state of our church. He generously remembered us and donated the amount to us."

"We will use it to repair the ceilings and rewire our building, among others," he said.

According to him, the church which measures 40 by 60 feet serves 400 people during its peak time such as Christmas.
