CM Receives Courtesy Visit from New LHDN Sabah Director

KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor received a courtesy visit from the newly appointed Director of the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) Sabah, Datin Dayang Halimah Awang Ahmad, at his office in Menara Kinabalu on Thursday (5 June).
Dayang Halimah, who hails from Tawau, has held the position since 1 March 2025. Prior to this, she served as the State Operations Director (Corporate Tax Audit) at LHDN Sabah.
Hajiji congratulated Dayang Halimah on her appointment and expressed confidence that the strong relationship between the state government and LHDN would continue to be strengthened to ensure more efficient and comprehensive revenue management.
He stated that the government fully supports efforts to enhance revenue collection in a fair and effective manner, in line with the state's development needs and the well-being of the people.
According to Dayang Halimah, the visit was aimed at introducing herself, as well as discussing strategic cooperation between LHDN and the state government in areas such as tax compliance and revenue management.
During the meeting, she also shared the direction and plans of LHDN Sabah, including initiatives to expand service outreach and increase tax awareness among the public.
Meanwhile, Hajiji also received a courtesy visit from the Assistant Chief of the Army Reserve Force, Major General Dato' Mohammad Razeif Che Ahmad.
He was accompanied by the Commander of the Fifth Infantry Division, Major General Dato' Haji Noorrul Azril Ariffin, and the Director of Army Planning and Development, Colonel Burhan Sagoni.
Also present was the State Secretary, Datuk Seri Panglima Sr. Haji Safar Untong.
