COVID-19: 45 CLUSTERS IN SABAH STILL ACTIVE - MASIDI

KOTA KINABALU: A total of 134 Covid-19 clusters have been recorded in Sabah as of today, including 45 clusters that are still active today.


Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Masidi Manjun in a press conference today said, there are a cumulative total of 14,200 positive cases registered in all 134 clusters.


"The three clusters which recorded the highest positive cases are the Kepayan Prison cluster with 1,900 cases which is currently still active, Benteng LD cluster with 1,168 cases (inactive), and PTS Tawau cluster with 8,227 cases (inactive)," he said.


Meanwhile, Masidi said there are a total of 48 imported (overseas) cases as of Jan 26 comprising 16 cases from the Phillipines, 15 cases from Indonesian, four cases each from Pakistan and Thailand, three cases from the United Kingdom, two cases each from China and India, and one case each from Saudi Arabia and Vietnam.


For cases imported from outside the state, a total of 125 positive cases have been registered with 123 from the peninsula and two cases from Sarawak.
