COVID-19: FOUR MORE SCHOOLS, TWO PRIVATE KINDIES CLOSED

KOTA KINABALU: Four more schools in the state have been closed due to Covid-19 transmission as of Feb 1.


Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said the schools are SMK Sandakan, Sandakan Vocational College, SM St. Cecilia and SMKA Tun Juhar.


"Based on information from the Sabah State Education Department, apart from the four schools that have been closed before, there are four more schools that have been closed due to Covid-19 infection, all in Sandakan district," he said at a press conference, here, today.


Masidi added two private kindergartens were also closed following a positive Covid-19 case.


He said the kindergartens are Tati Jati Kindergarten, Taman Haringgton Kota Kianbalu and Kinabalu International School Kota Kinabalu.
