KOTA KINABALU: With Covid-19 vaccination expected to begin on Feb 26, all residents in Sabah, including foreigners, will receive the jab.

"The Government has decided to expand free vaccination to foreigners (in Sabah) including illegal immigrants with no valid documents.

"This is in line with the theme of National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme - ‘Protect Yourself, Protect All’ and its approach - 'no one is safe, until all is safe'," he told reporters during a virtual press conference here, today.

The vaccination programme will be conducted in three phases with the first phase involving frontliners.

The second and third phases is expected to begin in April on those with comorbidities such as senior citizens and those suffering chronic diseases, and all citizens aged 18 and above, respectively.
