COVID-19: NEW CLUSTER DETECTED IN SARAWAK

KUCHING: Sarawak today reported a new cluster, the Stutong Cluster, which involves Kuching, Serian and Lundu districts, said the state Disaster Management Committee (JPBN).
JPBN, in a statement today, said that the cluster’s index case was detected on Jan 1 as a result of screening of symptomatic individuals at a private hospital in Kuching city.
“The number of positive cases involving this cluster thus far is five people including the index case,” it said.
A total of 10 new COVID-19 positive cases were recorded in Sarawak today, namely, three cases in Miri, two cases each in Kuching, Sibu and Bintulu and one case in Kapit, bringing the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in the state to 1,140. -Bernama
