COVID-19: SABAH RECORDS 405 NEW CASES, TWO DEATHS

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah's Covid-19 cases soared to a total of 38,690 with an addition of 405 new cases today, said Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.


"Today, a total of 192 patients have recovered from Covid-19 and were discharged from the hospital, bringing the total of statewide recoveries to 35,936.


"A total of 2,310 patients are still under treatment with 688 patients being treated in the hospital and the rest at the quarantine centres," he said in a statement here, today.


According to Masidi, a total of 60 patients are being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU) with 19 of them requiring ventilator support.


Two more deaths were also registered today, involving a 65-year-old man in Putatan with a history of hypertension, diabeter, gout and chronic kidney problem; and a 50-year-old woman in Kudat who had hypertension, dyslipidemia and obesity.
