Covid-19: Sabah records 474 new cases, one death

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah today recorded 474 new Covid-19 cases, a drop of 183 cases compared to yesterday’s 657, bringing the cumulative total of statewide infections to 76,927.
Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said, one death was also recorded today in Beaufort.
Of the total, 227 were detected through close contact screening, while 82 were detected through cluster screening, 71 through symptomatic screening, 55 through targeted screening and 39 from other categories.
Currently, there is no green zone left recorded today while 18 districts have been declared red zones, three orange zone and six yellow zones.
"The number of active cases now stands at 3,597 with 526 treated at hospitals, 2,032 in quarantine centres and 1,030 in temporary detention centres.
"The number of patients treated in the intensive care unit (ICU) is 66 with 19 requiring ventilator support," Masidi said in a statement.
As for recoveries, a total of 311 discharges were reported today, bringing the cumulative total of recoveries in Sabah to 72,059.
