COVID-19: SABAH RECORDS 493 NEW CASES, ONE DEATH

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah has so far recorded a total of 39,453 Covid-19 cases as the state continues to report three-digits daily infections, with 493 recorded today.


In his statement today, Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Masidi Manjun said a death case was also recorded, this time in Sandakan, involving a 60-year-old foreign national with a history of hypertension.


"A total of 210 patients have recovered from Covid-19 and were discharged from the hospital, bringing the cumulative total of recoveries in the state to 36,146.


"Two thousand four hundred and fifty-seven patients are still receiving treatment with 710 of them in the hospital and the rest in quarantine centres.


"Of the total, 62 individuals are currently being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU), with16 of them requiring ventilation support."


According to Masidi, Beaufort and Kota Marudu have turned into red zones while Beluran turned into orange zone. No new cluster was reported today.
