COVID-19: SABAH RECORDS 50 NEW CASES, ONE DEATH

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah today recorded 50 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the cumulative total of statewide infections to 59,003.
Local Government and Housing Datuk Masidi Manjun said one individual in Kunak has unfortunately succumbed to the virus today.
Tawau recorded the highest number of cases with 19 cases, followed by Kota Kinabalu with 11 cases, Lahad Datu (six), Kalabakan (five), Kunak (five), Sandakan (one), Keningau (one), Ranau (one) and Beaufort (one).
“Meanwhile, 18 districts did not record any case, namely Penampang, Putatan, Papar, Tuaran, Kinabatangan, Semporna, Kota Belud, Beluran, Telupid, Tongod, Kudat, Pitas, Kota Marudu, Kuala Penyu, Sipitang, Tenom, Nabawan and Tambunan, "he said in a press statement.
Masidi said 91 patients have recovered from Covid-19 today, bringing the cumulative total of recovery to 57,861 people.
A total of 567 patients are still receiving treatment, with 228 people at hospitals and 339 in quarantine centres.
"The number of patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) is 36 with 21 of them ventilated," he added.
