COVID-19: SABAH RECORDS 643 NEW CASES, 226 RECOVERIES

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah continues to record the highest number of new daily cases at 643 cases or 74.3 per cent out of 865 nationwide cases reported today.
Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said, this is because more lab tests have been conducted in Sabah and sent to the peninsular.
He said, of the new cases, 183 were from existing clusters, while 343 were from close contact tracings and 117 were from other screening activities.
“Of the 865 new cases reported today, seven were imported cases involving three citizens and four foreigners,” he said in a press conference, Monday.
Meanwhile, a total of 456 nationwide recoveries were recorded, including 226 in Sabah today, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 13,717.
Johor (13), Terengganu (five), Negeri Sembilan (three), Sarawak (two), Pahang (one) and Labuan (one).
Noor Hisham also stated that total accumulative number of positive cases in Malaysia now takes the tally to 21,363, with 7,456 active cases to date.
