COVID-19: SABAH'S DAILY CASES BACK TO THREE DIGITS

KOTA KINABALU: New Covid-19 cases in Sabah shot up to three digits with 103 cases today, bringing the cumulative total of statewide infections to 54,209, said Local Government and Housing Datuk Masidi Manjun.
He said after reporting only eight cases yesterday, Keningau exploded with 71 new cases with 42 of the total were reported in Kampung Lingkadau.
Kampung Lingkadau has been placed under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) since March 15.
Due to the drastic increase in cases in the district, morning and night markets, as well as tamu activities, are not allowed to operated effective March 21 (Sunday).
"Other than Tawau, 10 other districts have single-digit cases and none in 16 districts," he reported on Twitter.
Kota Kinabalu and Putatan each recorded five new cases while Kota Belud recorded three, two recorded each in Lahad Datu and Telupid, and one each was reported in Sandakan, Sipitang, Penampang and Tuaran.
Masidi also mentioned in his statement today that one Covid-19 death case was reported in Kota Kinabalu.
"A total of 41 patients have recovered from Covid-19, bringing the cumulative total of recoveries in Sabah to 53,313.
"A total of 349 patients are currently receiving treatment with 139 in the hospital, including 18 warded in the intensive care unit (ICU) with five of them ventilated, and 210 patients in the Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centres."
