COVID-19: TWO MORE DEATHS REPORTED IN SABAH

KOTA KINABALU: Two more Covid-19 deaths were reported Sunday, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 157.
A total of 561 new nationwide cases were also reported today with Sabah, which has been seeing a surge in cases over the past few weeks, recording the most numbers at 488 cases.

In his virtual conference, Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the two fatalities were recorded in the Duchess of Kent Hospital, Sandakan and Tawau Hospital.
The fatalities involved a 67-year-old and 63-year-old men with a history of Tuberculosis and heart disease, and of diabetes and high blood pressure, respectively.

On Friday, three Covid-19 fatalities were reported in the state with one each at Tawau Hospital, Semporna Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kota Kinabalu.
All three cases, two men and a woman aged between 51 and 61, had a background of chronic diseases like diabetes and high blood pressure.
