Don’t be afraid to approach KUSKOP agencies, Ewon tells young entrepreneurs

KOTA KINABALU: Entrepreneurs, especially young entrepreneurs are urged to approach the agencies under the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative Ministry (KUSKOP) in order to obtain existing coaching, training and assistance.
Its minister Datuk Ewon Benedick said this is because his ministry’s agencies such as the National Entrepreneurship Institute (INSKEN) and Tekun Nasional have various initiatives and programmes to aid entrepreneurs increase sales revenue and improve their businesses.
He said entrepreneurs, especially young entrepreneurs, should be assisted and coached until they become successful entrepreneurs so that they can contribute to their families and the future of the nation.
“There are also many benefits in today’s digital world for our entrepreneurs and the young generation also spend a lot of time on social media. So why not be involved in digital entrepreneurship by using social media as a platform to generate income?
“Entrepreneurship trainings are digital-based such as ones through INSKEN which is also one of KUSKOP’s focus,” he told the press after officiating the 2022 INSKEN Coaching Graduation Programme at the Palace Hotel yesterday.
Also present were Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative Deputy Minister, M Saraswathy Kandasami; KUSKOP Deputy Secretary General (Entrepreneurship Development), Datuk Haji Zamri Salleh; UDA Holdings Berhad Chairman, Datuk Norliza Abdul Rahim; Bank Rakyat Acting Chairman, Datuk Mohd Irwan Mohd Mubarak; INSKEN Chief Executive Officer, Muhd Firdaus Azharuddin; and Sabah Federal Deputy Secretary, Dr. Muharrir Kamarudin.
