EMCO IN KG MERUNTUM, PUTATAN FROM APRIL 13-26

KOTA KINABALU: An enhanced movement control order (EMCO) will be enforced in Kg Meruntum, Putatan in Sabah from April 13 to 26.

Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Maisi Manjun said as of April 12, a total of 71 screenings had been carried out with five positive cases detected in the area.

The Health Ministry confirmed a spike in cases in this locality with a high communal infection rate, he added.

"The MCO Technical Committee, on the advice of the Health Ministry, agreed to impose the enhanced MCO from April 12 to 26.

"The enforcement allows the Health Ministry to conduct early detection as well as to curb the spread of Covid-19," Masidi mentioned in a statement today.
