EMCO IN TWO LOCALITIES IN KUDAT, ONE IN KINABATANGAN STARTING JUNE 11

9 June 2021 By Wartawan Nabalu News KOTA KINABALU: A total of two localities in Kudat and one in Kinabatangan will be placed under a 14-day enhanced movement control order (EMCO) starting this Friday (June 11). Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said in Kinabatangan, the locality identified is a factory housing of Ong Ya Hoo Plantation which has a cumulative total of 28 Covid-19 cases out of 151 individuals that have been screened. In Kudat, the localities that will be placed under EMCO are Kampung Singgah Mata, Banggi with eight positive cases, and Kampung Sin San with nine positive cases.
Masidi said the decision to impose EMCO on these localities was made after a joint risk assessment with various agencies from the MCO Technical Committee and on the advice of the Ministry of Health.
