EWON TAKES LEGAL ACTION FOR SLANDER REMARKS

KOTA KINABALU: Kadamaian assemblyman Datuk Ewon Benedick will take legal action against an online portal Sabahkini2 for publishing false reports which were circulated widely recently.

"I have obtained legal services for the suit action and the next process against these slanderers, including on Facebook and WhatsApp," he said.

He had lodged a police report at the Karamunsing Police Station this morning regarding Sabahkini's report which alleged him to be involved in power abuse in the contract appointment of Jalan Kebidahan and Associated Roads, Kota Belud.

Ewon stated that the article was malicious and affected his credibility as Kadamaian assemblyman and former Sabah Rural Development Minister.

"I have asked the police and all agencies to make a full investigation, including against those who were involved in spreading this slander," he added.
