KUALA LUMPUR: Committed to alleviating the burdens of those in need and ensuring that marginalised communities are not overlooked, YAYASAN MR D.I.Y. has partnered with Food4u to distribute food packs to the homeless at two locations around Kuala Lumpur.

This programme forms part of a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative aligned with the “Raya Penuh Makna” celebration organised by MR D.I.Y., Malaysia's favourite home improvement retailer, for 2025. The aim is to strengthen relationships, share joy, and create meaningful memories. The primary focus of this initiative is to support the homeless community, who often face challenges in accessing sufficient and nutritious food every day.

The distribution of food packs occurred on 25 March 2025, at the Medan Tuanku Homeless Service Centre, and continued on 27 March 2025, at Jalan Sayur, Pudu. A total of 600 food packs were prepared and distributed, including biryani rice, cream biscuits, bread, and mineral water.

A representative from Food4u, Mr Tony, remarked, "We extend our heartfelt thanks to YAYASAN MR D.I.Y. for the collaboration in delivering assistance to those in need. We hope this effort not only alleviates their burdens but also inspires more individuals to step forward and support underprivileged communities."

This food pack donation initiative reflects the commitment of both parties not only to assist those in need but also to raise public awareness about the importance of sharing blessings, fostering humanitarian values, and cultivating compassion towards less fortunate communities, regardless of their religious or ethnic backgrounds.

YAYASAN MR D.I.Y. also welcomes the involvement of various parties to collaborate in aiding those in need, as concern and cooperation can bring about larger and more comprehensive change.

In addition to the food donations for the homeless, YAYASAN MR D.I.Y. has implemented a range of other programmes through this ‘Raya Penuh Makna’ initiative. These include activities with children from welfare homes, volunteer initiatives, and community projects.
