FULL ATTENDANCE OF CIVIL SERVANTS IN OFFICES FROM JAN 4

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government has decided that the services and working hours of state government departments will be fully operational starting yesterday (Jan 4) with the presence of officers and staff in the office at 100 per cent.
Sabah Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, who is also the official spokesperson on COVID-19 in Sabah, said the directive was aimed at ensuring that the delivery of public services was always at a good and effective level.
"All civil servants are required to fully comply with the current regulations and standard operating procedures (SOP) of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the state," he said in a statement here, Monday.
Meanwhile, Masidi said on the advice and risk assessment of the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH), the National Security Council (NSC) Special Session today agreed to implement the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in Kampung Timbang Dayang, Kota Belud from today (Jan 5) to Jan 18, 2021.
“The EMCO is to facilitate field control and prevention actions as well as to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection in the local community.
‘’As of Dec 31, 2020, MOH has implemented 207 screenings and out of that number, 24 positive cases have been recorded in the village, ”he added. -Bernama
