HPPK 2023 a success

PENAMPANG: A total of RM7.68 million in potential financing and RM667,067.94 in sales were recorded through the National Street Food and Small Traders Carnival 2023 (HPPK2023) held from December 7 to 9, 2023 at Buhavan Square, here.


According to a statement by the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (MEDC), the carnival, which was organised for the first time in Sabah, also recorded a total of 25,561 visitors.


The HPPK 2023 Carnival organised by MEDAC was officiated by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, on December 7.


Through this event, a total of 304 street vendors and small traders from various districts in Sabah, the Federal Territory of Labuan, Sarawak, and Peninsular Malaysia such as Kuala Lumpur and Perak participated.


In addition, over 100 guest traders from the surrounding Donggongon area participated in the carnival. They sold various types of products including crafts, food, and traditional clothing.


Eleven food truck traders from Sabah and Sarawak also took the opportunity to promote their businesses during the HPPK 2023 Carnival.


This carnival also promoted food from 14 states in Malaysia through the Anekarasa MADANI segment.


Various successful events attracted visitors to this carnival, such as the "Suara Kita" Karaoke Competition, Coloring Contest, Cooking Demonstrations, Lucky Draws, MADANI Cooperative Sales, KPDN Sales, Agro-FAMA Sales, and exhibitions from Federal and State Government agencies.
