KAMPUNG JAMBATAN BARU IN BEAUFORT AND KAMPUNG TITINGAN, BLOCK 6 IN TAWAU UNDER EMCO STARTING JULY 6

KOTA KINABALU: A total of two localities in Beaufort and Tawau will be placed under a 14-day enhanced movement control order (EMCO) starting Tuesday (July 6) until July 19.

Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said in Beaufort, the locality involved is Kampung Jambatan baru with a cumulative total of 17 Covid-19 cases.

“In Tawau, the locality that will be placed under EMCO is Kampung Titingan, Block 6.

“Out of 17 individuals screened in the locality, nine tests came back positive,” he said in a statement today.

Masidi added the decision to impose EMCO on these localities was made in order to restrict the public movement so that the virus will not spread to other areas.
