KOTA KINABALU: Keningau district will be placed under a 14-day movement control order (MCO) starting Monday, said Sabah Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Masidi Manjun.
He said the district has been seeing sharp rises of Covid-19 cases including 42 positive cases recorded in Kampung Lingkudau.
The village has been placed under enhanced MCO since March 15.
"After a risk assessment, the government has decided to impose the MCO on Keningau district from March 22 until April 4.
"The MCO will allow the Health Ministry to conduct targeting screenings as well as track down close contacts in the area," he said in a statement on today.
Meanwhile, the enhanced MCO imposed on Kampung Tanah Merah, Kota Marudu, Sabah will end on schedule on Monday.
