MAN DROWNS IN PENAMPANG, POLICE LOOKING FOR NEXT OF KIN

PENAMPANG: Penampang District Police is looking for the family of a drowned man who was found at Moyog River, Kg Tuavon Penampang on Wednesday.

Penampang Chief Officer DSP Mohd Haris Haji Ibrahim in a statement said, the victim was found by the public in Moyog River around 4.30pm.

“The victim was a man in his 30s, and he was found clad in a black long-sleeved t-shirt and black trousers,” he said in a statement yesterday.

According to Mohd Haris, initial investigation found that the victim was suspected to have drowned and there is no trace of criminal elements and other injuries.

The body was then sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kota Kinabalu Forensic Department for autopsy.

Therefore, he requested anyone who is looking for a missing family member or has information related to the next of kin or families of the victim to immediately contact the Investigating Officer ASP Mohamediah Sani at 019-8634811 or Penampang Police District Operations Room at 088-723961.
