MOTHERS OF KG TIONG MELANGKAP WORK TOGETHER TO BUILD CONCRETE BASE FOR TAMU BADI-BADI WANITA

KOTA BELUD: Mothers in Kg Melangkap Tiong today showed strong unity spirit when they worked together to build a concrete base under the scorching sun today for their weekly tamu activity here.

Kadamaian State Assemblyman Datuk Ewon Benedick who was present at the site to inspect and give his support expressed his appreciation for their hardwork.

“I salute all these mothers and women who came to work together to build the concrete of the Mini Tamu Badi-Badi Wanita in Kampung Melangkap Tiong today.

“I would also like to express my gratitude to the fathers and everyone present for lending a helping hand,” he said.

According to Ewon, the Women’s Committee paid a visit to the Kadamaian Assemblyman Service Centre and informed his of the need to build concrete base for their weekly tamu site.

“Therefore, I have presented a contribution of RM5,000 under the Kadamaian Assemblyman’s Sentuhan Kasih programme.

“Today, they carried out this construction in a ‘gotong-royong’ manner,” he added.

Tamu Badi-Badi Wanita Kg Melangkap Tiong which aims to provide opportunities for mothers in the village was started in September last year and inaugurated by Ewon.

There, they sell various products such as fruits, vegetables, cakes, handicraft products and flowers, among others.

The assemblyman mentioned that he will continue to be committed in assisting the development of rural community-based economic activities in Kadamaian.

“Even though I am not in the government bloc, I will still continue to carry out the mandate as an assemblyman for Kadamaian to the best of my ability.

“At the same time, I will not stop monitoring and urging the present-day government and the Kadamaian development administration office to continue with the development needed by the people as has been implemented in the two years’ time I was with the government,” he stressed.
