Neoteric Engineering Shines at the Swiss Innovation Challenge 2024

SWITZERLAND: Neoteric Engineering, the grand champion of the SME Bank Sandbox Swiss Innovation Challenge 2024 (SSSIC), has left a remarkable impression at this year’s Swiss Innovation Challenge (SIC).

Competing among the top 20 finalists, Neoteric Engineering showcased its innovation alongside teams from Germany, Silicon Valley, and Switzerland, creating invaluable networking opportunities and sparking conversations on sustainable solutions.

The team also visited Markthalle Basel, a vibrant food market known for fostering community entrepreneurship. Initially started by just six founders, the market now attracts thousands of visitors daily, standing as a testament to the power of collaborative enterprise.

In addition to the competition, Neoteric Engineering engaged with industry leaders and academic institutions, including the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW), discussing potential future collaborations that could further amplify their innovative efforts.

A highlight of their journey was a visit to Aquilas and Nidino, where they met with Christian Meyer, the visionary behind both companies. Aquilas is dedicated to supporting startups and pioneering business models, while Nidino provides tech-enabled, affordable childcare services in Zurich, exemplifying innovation with social impact.

Their experience also included a meaningful connection with Markus Helbling from Clue Solutions Sdn Bhd, an organization that assists Swiss SMEs in expanding into Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on Malaysia.

This journey has only fueled Neoteric Engineering's passion for innovation and commitment to breaking new ground.
