New workplace infection cluster detected in Tenom
2 August 2021 By Wartawan Nabalu News KOTA KINABALU: One new Covid-19 cluster has been registered today in Tenom known as the Sibulu cluster involving a workplace infection. Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said that the infection was believed to have started from a hydro construction site in Kuala Tomani. "The index case is a 43-year-old foreigner who works at the construction site. He tested positive after having symptoms since July 24," he said in a statement today. According to Masidi, of the total 114 individuals screened, 55 tested positive including 35 new cases today. "Meanwhile, 54 samples tested negative and another five are still waiting for results," he added.
