PBRS lauds Government for its transparency

KOTA KINABALU: The Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) Central Information Bureau commends the steps taken by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor, for demonstrating transparency and a genuine commitment to the education of Sabah’s children, including those of opposition leaders like Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman.
This initiative shows that under his leadership, the welfare of Sabah’s youth—regardless of political affiliation, race, or religion—remains a top priority.
In a statement, PBRS Information Chief and Member of the BN Supreme Council, Datuk Fredie Sua said PBRS views the Chief Minister’s actions as an exemplary demonstration of good governance.
Despite political differences, Hajiji has prioritized the education of Sabah’s next generation, reflecting his open and mature leadership.
His note of “OK, Sila Pertimbangkan” on the scholarship application shows his commitment to ensuring that every child in Sabah has equal access to education based on their qualifications.
"However, before the Chief Minister made it known to the public that he had supported the scholarship applications for Azis’s children, Azis should have, in good faith, first expressed his gratitude towards Hajiji."
As a leader, it is only right to give credit and appreciation where it is due. This includes recognising the Chief Minister’s support for his children’s education, said Fredie.
"Datuk Azis should not have reacted negatively once this matter became public and accused the Chief Minister of politicising the issue."
Hajiji’s actions were justified as there have been numerous baseless accusations and slander directed towards his administration.
The Chief Minister’s clarification on his support for the scholarships was necessary to demonstrate the government’s transparency and to dispel any misperceptions.
As a component party of Barisan Nasional (BN), PBRS hopes that the Sabah state government will continue to prioritise education.
" Education is the foundation of the nation’s future, and we believe that with continued focus on this sector, Sabah will progress and develop on par with other advanced nations. This effort will ensure a brighter future for Sabah’s children and the continued success of the state and the nation."
"PBRS expresses its gratitude to YAB Datuk Hajiji Noor and encourages all parties to work together to ensure that education remains a priority for the development of the state and the country.'
