Public infrastructure and facilities in Sabah need urgent attention – Masidi

KOTA KINABALU: A courtesy call from Deputy Chief Minister III and Works Minister, Datuk Ir Shahelmey Yahya, to Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, the Finance Minister, took place at Menara Kinabalu today.

The two ministers talked about various public issues, such as road maintenance and upgrading, water supply, and others.

Masidi emphasized that public infrastructure and facilities that affect the safety and wellbeing of the people, such as road maintenance and upgrading and water supply, should not be delayed or ignored.

He advised that the departments and agencies in charge of maintaining and repairing public infrastructure and facilities should follow the private sector’s example of efficiency and professionalism.

He also expressed his hope that the public would enjoy better public infrastructure and facilities in Sabah.
