SABAH FC DISPLAY OFFICIAL LOGO ON FACEBOOK

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Football Club (Sabah FC) today displayed the club’s official logo on its Facebook page after it won the most votes in a logo design competition.

Sabah Football Club Sdn Bhd, in a statement today, said the logo, created by Firzaruddin Zainal Abiddin, also fulfilled the design requirements as stipulated in the competition, which began last Saturday and ended at 12.30 pm yesterday (Nov 23).

"Congratulations to the winner and thank you to all the participants, especially Sabah FC supporters,” it said.

The logo, circular in shape, is based on the official colours of the Sabah flag, namely red, white and three shades of blue and featuring Gunung Kinabalu as the main symbol, with the words 'Sabah Football Club’ as well the symbols of a ball and paddy.

Sabah Football Club Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Verdon Bahanda thanked all their fans for participating and congratulated the winner.

"This logo will be in the hearts of every player and supporter of Sabah FC from this day onwards,” he said. – Bernama
