KOTA KINABALU: The close cooperation between state and federal governments is crucial to ensure all policies and projects decided at central level are well implemented, said Sabah Federal Secretary Datuk Samsuni Mohd Noor.

In this regard, he is confident the compatibility between the Sabah and federal governments now would ensure the smooth implementation of policies and projects planned for Sabah before this.

“Coincidently, the Sabah government is now aligned with the central government which could facilitate further all policies planned are implemented and together with federal agencies in Sabah, I will ensure what is instructed at federal level is properly implemented,” he said.

He was speaking after a courtesy call on Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Noor at his office at Sabah State Administrative Centre here today.

Commenting on the courtesy call, Samsuni said it was his first visit to the Chief Minister after Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) took over the Sabah government.

“We discussed several issues including policies we need to coordinate in the interest of the people in the state.

“We want all policies ordered by federal to be in line with what was wanted by Sabahans themselves,” he said. - Bernama
