SABAH TO BAN INTER-DISTRICT TRAVEL FROM MAY 27 TO JUNE 3

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah will undergo an inter-district travel ban starting May 27 until June 3 to control public movement ahead of the upcoming Kaamatan Festival celebration.
Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said roadblocks will be set up throughout the period and only those with permission from the police of official documents are allowed to cross districts.
"The public is advised not to take risk in attempting to cross districts as actions will be taken by the police," he said in his statement on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Masidi said the inter-zone travel ban throughout the Hari Raya celebration period will be lifted starting tomorrow (May 17).
