SIBEC 2024 postponed to another date

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah International Blue Economy Conference 2024 (SIBEC 2024), which was originally scheduled to be held from September 2 to 4, 2024, has been postponed to October 19 to 20, 2024.


SIBEC 2024 will be held for two days on Saturday and Sunday. The opening ceremony of SIBEC 2024 will be officiated by Datuk Seri Panglima Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, on October 19, 2024.


Among the highlights of SIBEC 2024 are investor insights, plenary sessions, interactive forums, and special ambassador talks involving Ambassadors and High Commissioners from foreign countries to share experiences, knowledge, and success stories based on the blue economy in their respective countries.


A total of 29 speakers and panelists from both domestic and international backgrounds, including industry players, blue economy practitioners, and academics, will be participating in SIBEC 2024. SIBEC 2024 is expected to be attended by 2,000 participants from both domestic and international locations.


Additionally, during SIBEC 2024, there will be a pavilion showcasing initiatives, the latest technologies, and innovations in every sector or component of the Blue Economy from both domestic and international sources.
