SPM achievers lauded for their excellent results

PENAMPANG: For the first time, the Penampang district has successfully achieved an average grade of 4.52, exceeding the state and national average grades.
Penampang Member of Parliament Datuk Ewon Benedick said this success signifies that the overall achievements of students in the Penampang district in the 2023 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination are higher compared to the average grades in the entire state and also the national average grade.
Ewon who is also the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Corporative said this in his speech during the SPM 2023 Graduation Ceremony Academic Session 2023/2024 Datuk Peter Mojuntin Secondary School held here today.
His speech was delivered by Carl Mosoom, his Political Secretary.
According to him, the graduation ceremony was a meaningful and proud day, not only for the students but also for their respective families and those who have provided support and encouragement throughout their educational journey.
It was also a manifestation of all their hard work and dedication, reflecting their academic excellence as well as their commitment and perseverance.
"As graduates, you have faced various challenges, but you have proven that with determination, perseverance, and dedication, no obstacle is insurmountable because effort truly does not betray results."
According to him, the graduation ceremony will be a catalyst for all students to strive further in pursuit of knowledge in the future.
He lauded the parents and guardians, for all the support and sacrifices they have made to ensure the success of their children adding that their efforts and sacrifices are the foundation of this proud achievement.
He also lauded the efforts and sacrifices of educators for they contributed tremendously to their student's success.
He encouraged the students not to be afraid to pursue their dreams and adhere to good principles and high work ethics.
"Face challenges with the same spirit that you have shown so far. Always hold onto the principles of truth, honesty, and hard work. Remember, success is not a destination, but a journey that requires continuous effort and sacrifice."

Rahim Haji Md Lair Principal of Datuk Peter Mojuntin Secondary School, Datin Fay Hameliene Mogindol Senior Administrative Assistant, Irene Lung Senior Student Affairs Assistant, Grace Lasimbang Senior Co-Curricular Assistant, Catherine Benjamin Senior Afternoon Assistant, Mohd Fatly Rajak Senior Special Education Assistant and Ahmady Wahap Chairman of the Parent-Teacher Association of Datuk Peter Mojuntin Secondary School.
