KENINGAU: With the 2025 Sabah Schools Sports Council (MSSS) Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship just days away, young gymnasts from Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Yuk Yin (C) in Keningau have received a timely boost in the form of a heartfelt contribution from Liawan Assemblyman, Datuk Annuar Ayub Aman.

The support both moral and material was handed over by Linda Mausin, Administrative Assistant at the Liawan Community Development Leaders Unit (UPPM), who represented Annuar during a brief handover ceremony at the UPPM Liawan office. School representative Cikgu Chong Wen Xia received the donation on behalf of the gymnastics team.

The Yuk Yin squad is set to represent their school at the MSSS Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship, which will run from 23rd to 26th June at SJK(C) St. James in Kota Kinabalu. The championship is a key event on the Sabah schools' sporting calendar, bringing together top young gymnasts from across the state.

Speaking on behalf of the assemblyman, Linda said Annuar believes strongly in the role of sport in holistic education and the importance of empowering young talent at grassroots level.

“This contribution may not be big, but it is enough to show that Liawan stands with you,” she said.

Annuar’s steady commitment to education and youth development in Liawan has often been demonstrated through effective actions, aimed at building long-term impact rather than chasing headlines.

With state-level competition looming, the support has come at a crucial time for the Yuk Yin team, and may well be the encouragement they need to leap higher, stretch further, and perform with confidence on the big stage.
