KOTA KINABALU: Teachers from Sarawak and the peninsula who will be reporting for duty in Sabah soon are not compulsory to undergo quarantine, said Local Government and Housing Datuk Masidi Manjun.

Despite that, he said the government would regularly review the standard operating procedures, and that changes would be made if necessary.

"As of now, there are no changes to the current SOP ... We are evaluating it daily and would make changes if necessary," he said.

Masidi also urged the public to take the SOPs more seriously considering the continuous increase of Covid-19 cases in the state.
