KENINGAU: Three siblings from Kampung Liawan have received a timely boost to their academic journeys after being awarded educational assistance from Liawan State Assemblyman (ADUN), Datuk Annuar Ayub Aman.

The support, aimed at easing financial burdens and encouraging continued learning, was presented in a brief ceremony held at the Liawan Community Development Leader Unit Office (UPPM).

The aid was handed over by Community Development Supervisor, Heldahwati Juhasin, and received on behalf of the students by their mother, Alice Sompog.

The recipients are Shelyn Poul, currently pursuing a Diploma in Psychology at College Cyberjaya in Kota Kinabalu; Stanlee Poul, studying for a Diploma in Early Childhood Education at the same institution; and Shane Poul, enrolled in a Welding Technology programme at Keningau Vocational College.

Annuar, in a statement, emphasised that the assistance forms part of his ongoing commitment to ensure rural students are not left behind due to economic challenges.

“Education is the best investment in our future. We will continue to support every student who is willing to learn,” he said, reinforcing his belief in creating educational opportunities for youth, especially in underserved communities.
