Together, let's make 2024 better - Ewon

KOTA BELUD: Work together to make the New Year 2024 a better year than the previous ones, Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Datuk Ewon Benedick said.

Ewon who is also the State Assemblyman for Kadamaian, said that this year would be better by using all the past successes and achievements as motivation and inspiration, as well as considering challenges and constraints as lessons and examples.

"Although we have faced many challenges in the previous years, let us turn the positive ones into motivation and examples to give our best in this year, and let us learn from the less favorable ones to become better."

"This is also a reminder for me as the Representative of Kadamaian and Penampang, who also has responsibilities throughout the country," he said during his speech at the New Year Thanksgiving Ceremony 2024 at SDA Gaur Church and the Inauguration of Agape SRA Gaur Hall, in Kg. Gaur, here, today.

During the event, Ewon also agreed to allocate a sum of RM50,000 to upgrade the facilities of SDA Kg Gaur Church and provided a grant of RM40,000 to SDA Kg Marou Church following his previous visit.

Ewon, who is also Penampang Member of Parliament stated that the country needs political stability resulting from the unity of the people in order to build and achieve economic prosperity.

"Our country can regain its competitiveness on the world stage when we focus on the right things for our people and our nation."

Micro, small, and medium enterprises also require significant support in order to grow into regional competitors and be internationally competitive. I will shoulder this role together with the people of the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives.

"The same goes for my mandate as the Representative of Kadamaian and Penampang. Through the Penampang Development Plan and the Kadamaian Development Plan, I will continue to strive and work hard to take the initiative to bring in the necessary development for the people," he said.

After the event, he also took the time to attend the wedding reception of Hadlee Panchai and Brenda at the Kadamaian Square Taginambur Open Hall.
