KOTA BELUD: The touchpoint condolence programme, an initiative by the Kadamaian State Assemblyman, Datuk Ewon Benedick, continues to reach out to families facing the loss of loved ones in the Kadamaian area.

The Youth Chief of the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) Kota Belud, Jolyhame Saran, was present to pay final respects to the late Rozie@Wan Baisah Jumat in Kampung Piasau, Kota Belud.

He represented Ewon's efforts to connect with the people through this touchpoint programme.

Also participating in the programme were the Kadamaian Community Development Officer (CDO), Juin Kolod, and Officer in the Community Development Leader Unit (UPPM) Kadamaian, Joel Deukin.

Jolyhame, who is also the Chairman of the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) of Kampung Piasau, expressed his condolences for the family's loss.

Previously, a similar programme also reached out to the family of the late Ishak Liuen from Kampung Kiau Nuluh, Kota Belud.

The recipient representative, Sapinus Tuboh, who is also the Secretary of the JKKK Kampung Kiau Nuluh, received the contribution with deep appreciation.

The family of the late Konduri Samirang from Kampung Kiau Taburi also received this condolence outreach, represented by Dolois Sumbin, demonstrating ongoing concern for the community in the Kadamaian area.

According to Jolyhame, this touchpoint condolence initiative is part of Ewon’s effort to remain close to the community and to extend personal condolences.

"This programme not only shows moral support to grieving families but also strengthens the bond between leaders and the people," he said.

Meanwhile, Kadamaian CDO Juin Kolod emphasized that this approach symbolises leadership’s care for the community.

"Our representatives' presence signifies that every layer of society in Kadamaian is not overlooked," he stated.

The touchpoint condolence programme reflects the values of solidarity and community spirit, in line with the local leaders' efforts to stay by the side of those in need of support.

Through collaboration among leaders, JKKK, and related agencies, every programme carried out has a positive impact on the social development and well-being of the Kadamaian community.

This approach will continue in various forms of assistance to ensure that the people of Kadamaian always feel the presence of leadership that is attentive to their issues.
