UPKO Women's Committee celebrated Christmas

KOTA BELUD: The United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) Women's Committee of Kota Belud hosted the 2024 Casual Christmas Celebration on December 1, 2024, at the N11 Kadamaian Assemblyman Service Centre Hall.
This delightful event aimed to strengthen the bonds of friendship among committee members and create a lively and cheerful Christmas atmosphere.
The highlight of the celebration was the Gift Exchange session, where each member in attendance brought a gift of no set value. The gifts were exchanged in a fun and engaging manner, ensuring that each participant received a delightful surprise.
In addition to the gift exchange, attendees enjoyed a shared meal and a relaxed conversations and discussions, which fostered a warm and memorable Christmas experience. Participants contributed to a potluck, offering a variety of snacks and beverages for everyone to enjoy.

The gathering served not only to celebrate the festive season but also to cultivate a spirit of togetherness and mutual respect among the members.
Datin Saniah Tuak Head of the Women's Division, expressed her hope that this event would provide a solid platform for strengthening fellowship within the UPKO Women's Committee of Kota Belud.
She encouraged everyone present to seize the opportunity to engage fully in the celebration, stating, "Let us join together in celebrating the true spirit of Christmas in this joyful atmosphere."
Saniah also articulated her wish for the women to continue evolving in their relationships and unity, working collaboratively to implement organised programmes. She acknowledged that differences of opinion may arise within the committee, but as resilient women familiar with overcoming challenges, they have persevered until today.
"Let us use this Christmas as an opportunity to reconcile with one another," she urged the 24 committee members in attendance.
As the event concluded, all members offered heartfelt prayers, wishing for health and longevity, and expressing their commitment to continuing their service on the Women's Committee in 2025.
