KUALA LUMPUR: SKYWORTH PV marked a major milestone in Malaysia’s renewable energy journey with the launch of its brand and partnership programme on April 10, 2026. The event brought together industry experts, local partners, and business leaders to explore the rapidly growing distributed solar sector.

The conference began with a warm welcome and a video message from SKYWORTH Group Founder, Mr. Huang Hongsheng. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to clean energy and stressed the importance of localised development to support sustainable, low-carbon growth globally.

In his keynote, Wang Chundan, General Manager of SKYWORTH PV Asia-Pacific, highlighted Malaysia’s dynamic solar market driven by supportive policies. Recent reforms, including lifting capacity limits, refining the SELCO mechanism, and shifting from NEM to Solar ATAP, are boosting self-consumption and project returns. Changes to electricity tariffs and green incentives are further accelerating demand and making energy storage more attractive for homes and businesses.

These policy shifts are unlocking Malaysia’s rooftop solar and solar-plus-storage potential, helping the country aim for 70% renewable energy by 2050. SKYWORTH PV is ready to contribute with reliable products, integrated solutions, and long-term partnerships.

During the brand session, Ada Xiao, SKYWORTH PV’s Asia-Pacific Brand Ambassador, shared the company’s global footprint and localisation strategy.

She explained how SKYWORTH PV is tailoring its brand, services, and ecosystem to meet Malaysia’s unique market needs, empowering partners to build sustainable and competitive local businesses.

The technical session, led by Chen Yuchao, SKYWORTH PV’s Chief Technical Expert, focused on solutions suited to Malaysia’s climate and grid. He discussed high-efficiency PV modules, hybrid inverters, and energy storage systems designed to optimise energy use, improve system stability, and maximise returns across diverse applications.

A key highlight was the unveiling of SKYWORTH PV’s local partnership model by Chen Lin, Malaysia Market Development Director. Supported by SKYWORTH’s strong brand and manufacturing resources, the model offers a one-stop solution covering branding, supply chain, design, digital tools, operations, and financing.

This comprehensive approach, combined with local logistics and financing support, lowers entry barriers, boosts profitability, and enables partners to grow quickly and sustainably.

The event culminated in a signing ceremony, where several Malaysian companies formed partnerships with SKYWORTH PV. These agreements demonstrate strong market confidence and lay a solid foundation for future growth through a local partner network.

With advanced technology, global experience, and a clear localisation strategy, SKYWORTH PV’s entry into Malaysia is more than a market expansion, it’s a step toward building a high-value, scalable solar ecosystem.

Moving forward, SKYWORTH PV will continue collaborating with local partners to unlock Malaysia’s solar potential and accelerate the transition to a greener energy future.
