KOTA KINABALU: Sabah DAP Socialist Youth (DAPSY) Chief, Chan Loong Wei, welcomed the decision by the Attorney General’s Chambers to prosecute the suspects involved in the bullying case that led to the tragic death of young Zara Qairina.

He described the decision as a crucial step in upholding justice and reaffirming that the law must be enforced without compromise against any party found guilty.

DAPSY Sabah firmly stresses that there is no room or excuse for allowing a culture of bullying to take root in this country. Bullying is not part of our culture, and it must never be tolerated in any form. The loss of a student’s life due to the failure to curb bullying is a heartbreaking tragedy — one that must never be allowed to happen again.

“We also emphasise that schools must remain safe spaces — places of learning and development that shape the future of our children,” said Chan.

DAPSY Sabah pledges to stand in full solidarity with the family of the late Zara Qairina and with all Malaysians who demand justice. The organisation remains committed to seeing that justice is served through a transparent and fair legal process.

“We are determined to ensure that the voices of the people continue to be heard, and that such a tragedy is never repeated,” Chan added.
