Farmers Equipped to Strengthen Local Agriculture

KENINGAU: Residents of Kampung Purakagis have received new agricultural equipment, aimed at boosting farming productivity and creating wider economic opportunities in the community.

The equipment was presented under an initiative led by Liawan State Assemblyman Datuk Annuar Ayub Aman. The scheme is designed to support local farmers in modernising their practices and developing agriculture as a sustainable business.

“This contribution will not only help increase yields but also open up opportunities for agriculture to become a viable source of income for families while strengthening the wider economy,” said Annuar.

Ruddy Gijau, the Luagan Subdistrict Development Officer, noted that the distribution formed part of a series of initiatives to support rural communities in the Liawan constituency.

Recipients expressed gratitude, describing the assistance as a meaningful step that directly benefits farmers and strengthens community livelihoods.
